American Idol – It’s Two Songs for “Rat Pack Standards Night”

April 24, 2009 1 comment

ETA : Totally lame, American Idol! I can’t believe they took away the two songs and gave us this shitty Jamie Foxx mentoring instead (no offense to Jamie Foxx)! (head.desk)

I guess I’m not trusting what the official site says next time!

———————————————————–

People have been wondering if it will still be two songs per contestant next week, given that we can’t imagine how they’ll fit ten songs in one hour …

Well, if you go to the official site, it definitely says “Two songs for each contestant (plus the return of Taylor Hicks).”

I’m still wondering how they’ll fit everything into one hour, but I’m pretty happy that Adam can be a two-trick pony (his own words) on one night finally. He can let his freak fly on one song and yet still be able to (hopefully) have a sappy ballad cushion him a bit for the night. What do you think?

More MTV Pimpage – Adam Lambert’s Early Theater Years

April 24, 2009 2 comments

ETA: Here’s a really good article about Adam’s early years ‘Idol’ sensation showed promise on local stage‘ (By Karla Peterson)

Yup, MTV is still pimping Adam. Not that I mind (of course) – MTV has a new article and video on Adam Lambert, this time focusing on his early theater years.

Vodpod videos no longer available.

more about "Adam Lambert’s Early Theater Years", posted with vodpod

Excerpt (click here for full article)

“I think he was always very comfortable in his skin and with who he was,” Urban said. “On the stage, he always had great confidence. He was very focused and directed at what he wanted to do and being the best and excelling. … I absolutely believe he was born to perform. He had that talent as a young man, and it just grew and grew as he grew up.”

American Idol Contestants’ iTunes Popularity Bars

April 24, 2009 Leave a comment

Thanks to mjsbigblog (and her detectives) for discovering that the iTunes popularity bars are back in business for the idols.

Here’s a graph mj made using the iTunes rolling charts (meaning it only reflects recent downloads).

(chart from mjsbigblog)

Adam Lambert and Kris Allen are raking it in and leaving everyone else in their dust … F2?

As an Adam fan, obviously I’m getting a kick out of this …
