ETA: And here’s an on-line article on the “Secrets of American Idol’s final four!” from inTouch Weekly.

Adam Lambert’s the biggest diva!

Backstage scoop: Adam spends the most time in the makeup chair. “Not so much for makeup, but that hair,” reveals recently ousted Matt Giraud to In Touch. “He doesn’t wake up looking like that!”
His Idol: Madonna. “She’s the master when you look at how long she’s been on the scene and re-invented herself,” he tells In Touch. “It’s pretty impressive. I have nothing but major respect for her and her ideas.”

To Harry Potter Fans – FREE Download of “The Alchemyst” by Michael Scott

May 1, 2009 3 comments

Randomhouse is offering “The Alchemyst” (The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel Book 1) by Michael Scott for FREE download only until May 8, 2009. Click here to get your free ebook!

“He holds the secret that can end the world.

The truth: Nicholas Flamel was born in Paris on September 28, 1330. Nearly 700 years later, he is acknowledged as the greatest Alchemyst of his day. It is said that he discovered the secret of eternal life.

The records show that he died in 1418.

But his tomb is empty.

The legend: Nicholas Flamel lives. But only because he has been making the elixir of life for centuries. The secret of eternal life is hidden within the book he protects—the Book of Abraham the Mage. It’s the most powerful book that has ever existed. In the wrong hands, it will destroy the world. That’s exactly what Dr. John Dee plans to do when he steals it. Humankind won’t know what’s happening until it’s too late. And if the prophecy is right, Sophie and Josh Newman are the only ones with the power to save the world as we know it.

Sometimes legends are true.

And Sophie and Josh Newman are about to find themselves in the middle of the greatest legend of all time.”

Sam Harris’ Friend Friday : Michael Orland (YouTube Video)

May 1, 2009 1 comment

From SamHarris.Com (Description of the video)

“Sam meets with long-time friend, Michael Orland and exclaim kismet via Mary Poppins. After a brief tour of the home, and Sam attempting to play the “Big” pool piano, they sit to discuss the origins of Worcester, Forbidden Broadway and turning “Bad Seed” into a Ruthless musical. We learn about their mutual Golden Girls friendships with the late Estelle Getty and now, Bea Arhur. Michael tells us how he became involved with American Idol in it’s premiere season, now in season 8. Sam’s parallel with the show and Star Search, and now the constant Adam Lambert comparison is inescapable. Michael then tries to explain the fact that he lived with Clay Aiken and Kimberley Locke.

They end the video with “I’m Always Chasing Rainbows” which they performed together many years ago.”

These two are hilarious together – I had no idea that Michael Orland was so funny.

But yeah, I’m only putting this up since they said such nice things about Adam 😉

For Lil Rounds & Anoop Desai Fans – Audio of Their Conference Call

May 1, 2009 Leave a comment

Star World had put up last season’s exit conference calls pretty faithfully, so I had been wondering what was up with this season … Well, they’ve started putting up the unedited audio for the contestants – starting with the conference calls of Lil Rounds and Anoop Desai.

Click here to listen in (roughly around 17 minutes for Lil and 10 minutes for Anoop) if you’re a fan of the two.
