SPOILER : And the winner of America’s Got Talent is…

Congratulations to Kevin Skinner! I guess people preferred to ignore the mess of his Finals performance and judged him on his previous performances… which were really magical btw. Or there are just more country music fans than opera fans in the US? like duh

Not sure he’d be a good fit for Vegas, but the important thing is… does this mean he gets a contract with a country label? I sure hope so!

In these economic times I think the world just went with the guy who needed it the most. Kevin does. The ‘underdog’, so -to-speak. He can, and will sing.

I also liked Lawrence and Barbra They were heard, and will most likely get some sort of notice, or even a contract .

Look at Susan Boyle. She didn’t win in England, and yet, do you even remember who did?

She has had a far better career being second, than the group that did win.

I’m really not surprised that Kevin won…figured it would be between him and Recycled Percussion, though. I did like RP’s performances but, at the same time, very reminiscent of Blue Man Group. Kevin is okay…as Kate J said he seemed to be the one who might benefit most. I think his audition performance was the best we saw, however. Barbara Padilla…love her voice but had an idea she wouldn’t take the top spot. Not exactly Vegas material for, forgive me for saying this, she’s too good for sin city. Maybe a duet with Andrea Bocelli??? 🙂 Seriously, I would be first in line to buy.
