Allison Iraheta’s Debut Album ‘Just Like You’ Now Streaming on MySpace!

The day has finally come! Head on to Allison Iraheta’s Official MySpace to stream her debut album ‘Just Like You’.

I’m heading over there right now! So excited to listen to the album … eeep, they only have every other song streaming… wonder why?

Here’s a quickie review from a drive-by listen of (unfortunately) just half of the album – I am truly impressed with how Allison has remained true to herself here – make no mistake about it – ‘Friday I’ll Be Over You’ notwithstanding – this is a rock album. Even with just half of the songs streaming, it’s evident that ‘Friday I’ll Be Over You’ belongs to a different universe compared to the other songs.

This is the album that I wanted Kelly Clarkson to debut with (instead of Thankful). This is an album that this P!nk-loving fan can appreciate wholeheartedly. Thank you Jive for letting Allison sound like her growly-, husky-, 20-pack-year-, whiskey-soaked-vocal-cords self. And interpreting each song with an aching vulnerability way beyond her years. I love ‘Scars’ to bits, and ‘No One Else’ is a close favorite. I can’t wait for Jive to release the other songs for streaming like right now!

Is it December 1 yet????

** Pre-order ‘Just Like You’ on Amazon
($9.99, $3.97 savings) or iTunes Deluxe Edition ($11.99) w/ bonus track ‘Don’t Wanna Be Wrong’ **

It’s too bad they’re not streaming Holiday still, that one kicks all kinds of ass.

Ok I am trying really hard to resist listening to this. I am still trying to hold out until the first when I get my CD. I have cheated and listened to the full versions of Scars and Don’t Waste the Pretty. Love them both. Don’t Waste the Pretty took a few listens for me to really get into, but I love the ending! Glad to know that you like what you are hearing too! I wonder why they only have half the songs? Guess you have to buy the album to hear the rest 🙂
