FREE MP3 Download – Joy To The World by Stroudavarious Orchestra

December 17, 2009 Leave a comment

As part of Amazon’s 25 Days Of Christmas FREE, you can download ‘Joy To The World’ by the Stroudavarious Orchestra from the album Sounds of the Season.

I was expecting a classical interpretation since it did say ‘Orchestra’, therefore I soooo did not expect the guitar to cut in… Thought the ‘rock-ish’ element was cool though…

Kris Allen Performs ‘Live Like We’re Dying’ on the Late Show with David Letterman

December 17, 2009 Leave a comment

Ugly Christmas sweaters / cardigans completely distract from Kris sounding better than usual on this performance of ‘Live Like We’re Dying’.

The ‘funny’ costumes would’ve worked if they’d sung a a novelty Christmas song – as it is – the disconnect would not give a good first impression for a first time listener going – that’s the american idol???

Whoever’s idea this was – thumbs down. Burn the sweaters!

Adam Lambert on Chelsea Lately

December 17, 2009 Leave a comment

Found a better quality vid! Or you can watch a HQ video on Chelsea Lately’s site.

Adam Lambert was just on host comedienne Chelsea Handler’s show ‘Chelsea Lately’. No performance (since they don’t really have musical guests there – it’s a 30 minute show!), just a sit-down on the couch… But one of the best interviews I’ve seen (rivalling Michelle Collins who still wins by a mile in ridiculousness though!)- Chelsea really made Adam laugh with her sarcastic fierce bitch schtick! It was funny, it was honest, it was sad, it was subversive, it was adorable… it was Adam…

Just sayin’ – acid trippin’ man!

The preview commercial after the jump!

Adam Lambert Performs ‘Whataya Want From Me’ @ So You Think You Can Dance

I’ll replace the video if a better quality one pops up. HQ Vid up! (Alternative YT Link)

Oh, Adam’s eye-make-up! Such perfection – he looked like one of those New Orleans ceramic dolls! The vocals! Such perfection – it seems every live performance I say that! The Adam-Tommy interaction! Very sexy – Tommy’s pretty flexible, ain’t he … lol… The suit! Such pefection… except…

Oh, yeah, except what was that on his shoulder? that’s a mighty chip on your shoulder Adam! I guess that’s better than showing haters the middle finger 😉

ETA : Okay, best description EVER of the shoulder situation:

@fianlly LOL someone said that Adam Lambert was wearing the shriveled, blackened testicles of ABC executives on his shoulder

FREE E-Book Download – Already Dead (Joe Pitt Series, #1) by Charlie Huston

December 17, 2009 Leave a comment

Suvudu.Com is offering a FREE download of Already Dead (Joe Pitt Series, #1) by Charlie Huston. It is available for download in multiple e-book formats (PDF, Amazon Kindle, Sony Reader, BN.com, Scribd and Stanza). Whew, that’s a lot of formats! Surely, you can find a format that agrees with you!

So, got room for another vampire (ok, it’s spelled differently by the author – Vampyres) novel series? Fans of traditional vampires should be warned – Charlie Huston’s vampyres may be undead and crave blood, but they don’t have the fangs, and pretty much have this complete re-imagined counter-culture in Manhattan. Charlie Huston is a hip, irreverent and contemporary writer and has already scored cult followers, much like a hit indie rock band.

Book Description:

Those stories you hear? The ones about things that only come out at night? Things that feed on blood, feed on us? Got news for you: they’re true. Only it’s not like the movies or old man Stoker’s storybook. It’s worse. Especially if you happen to be one of them. Just ask Joe Pitt.

There’s a shambler on the loose. Some fool who got himself infected with a flesh-eating bacteria is lurching around, trying to munch on folks’ brains. Joe hates shamblers, but he’s still the one who has to deal with them. That’s just the kind of life he has. Except afterlife might be better word.

From the Battery to the Bronx, and from river to river, Manhattan is crawling with Vampyres. Joe is one of them, and he’s not happy about it. Yeah, he gets to be stronger and faster than you, and he’s tough as nails and hard to kill. But spending his nights trying to score a pint of blood to feed the Vyrus that’s eating at him isn’t his idea of a good time. And Joe doesn’t make it any easier on himself. Going his own way, refusing to ally with the Clans that run the undead underside of Manhattan—it ain’t easy. It’s worse once he gets mixed up with the Coalition—the city’s most powerful Clan—and finds himself searching for a poor little rich girl who’s gone missing in Alphabet City.

Now the Coalition and the girl’s high-society parents are breathing down his neck, anarchist Vampyres are pushing him around, and a crazy Vampyre cult is stalking him. No time to complain, though. Got to find that girl and kill that shambler before the whip comes down…and before the sun comes up.
