FREE E-Book Download – ‘Soul Identity’ by Dennis Batchelder

December 19, 2009 1 comment

Christmas ’tis the season of giving! And it’s not stopping anytime soon. Author Dennis Batchelder is giving away FREE e-book downloads of his novel ‘Soul Identity’.

You can download ‘Soul Identity’ for free from Barnes & Noble and from Smashwords (where it’s available as mobi, Epub, PDF, LRF, PalmDoc formats – virtually all the formats out there – for your convenience). It’s also available on Amazon Kindle for $0.01 (somehow, Amazon wouldn’t let the author give it away for free, so he had to settle for 1 cent).

Book Description:

What if you could bank your money for your next life?

Smart-aleck and computer security expert Scott Waverly is skeptical of his new client’s claim that they’ve been tracking souls for almost twenty-six hundred years. Is it a freaky cult, or a sophisticated con job?

As Scott saves Soul Identity from an insider attack, he discovers the importance of the bridges connecting people’s lives.

The novel is not filed under fantasy, but under thrillers. Still, I’d put it as being fantastical – definitely need some suspension of disbelief here. It’s a very intriguing idea on reincarnation – especially with the concept that you could connect with your ‘past lives’. It’s the author’s first book (I think) and it shows with the less-than-stellar research & over-all quality of writing – but he has pretty good What-if ideas. Maybe he just needs a better editor or something…

So, Kris Allen was one of the performers at the XL’ent Xmas at House of Blues Orlando (Lake Buena Vista, FL). The other acts were The Fray, Leona Lewis and Jason Castro.

Kris’ set list : Heartless/Gangsta’s Paradise, Can’t Stay Away (with guitar), The Truth, Man In The Mirror, Is It Over, Alright with Me, Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas / The Christmas Song, Live Like We’re Dying.

I don’t have Jason Castro’s set list, but I’ll be adding him here too (if I find videos).

Bookmark this post and check back as I’ll be updating with the videos as they appear. Again, thanks to the fans (nuryj, yendiders, poisnivyred, asmadasrabbits) who share again and again!

FREE Game for iPhone and iPod Touch – iSanta 2010

December 19, 2009 1 comment

Perfect game for the kiddies this Christmas! If you can bear for them to play with your toy, that is…

For a limited time, the game iSanta 2010 is free for download from the App Shopper and the iTunes app store.

Game Description:

Do you want to play Santa this Christmas and go riding on the sleigh dropping gifts through the Chimney?

Be warned that the task isn’t easy; you’ll be riding over rough terrain on a freezing night, and in heavy snowfall!

Once you are all settled in the sleigh you will be given a map with a host of towns to cover. Look out for the houses below and drop each gift accurately into the chimney according to the color of the house.

The cheer of Christmas isn’t complete without gifts for one and all. This game is endless fun for people of all ages, so put on your Santa suit and make some children very happy.

Found New Bargain – Slipskin-Peel Netbook Case @ 60% OFF!

December 19, 2009 Leave a comment

I wanted some extra protection for my Asus, and I found this! I think it’s a pretty good deal, you can get the Targus 10.2-Inch Slipskin-Peel Netbook Case on Amazon at 60% off! It’s currently offered at $7.99 only ($12.00 savings!). Note that the case is only for up to 10.2-Inch netbooks /notebooks / laptops.

It’s nothing fancy – just the standard neoprene material that’s pretty lightweight and tough. Perfect for protecting my baby against incidental scratches or as extra padding when I have it in my backpack. My only complaint is the color available (black with turquoise trim), but at $7.99, I don’t think I should be complaining 😉

My dad is gifting my niece and nephews with netbooks this Christmas – and guess, what – I just found the perfect gifts for them! If they complain about the trim, I’ll just tell them to black-marker it! lol
