Book Description:

Danny Lipman is a thief . . . until one night he robs the wrong house. He inadvertently breaks into the headquarters of the Shadow Project, a secret government organization where teenage spies are trained to leave their bodies, using astral projection to travel around the world on deadly missions.

Danny is captured, but the Project leaders quickly realize he has a special gift. And when a key operative—the director’s daughter, Opal—goes missing, he is offered a choice: join the Shadow Project or go to jail.

Danny joins and is quickly sent to investigate the Project’s current target: a worldwide terrorist organization known as the Sword of Wrath. But as he gets deeper in, he discovers both the Project and the Sword of Wrath are far more than they seem. Danny and his fellow operatives are caught up in an ancient supernatural conflict and will have to learn how to survive in a world without boundaries of space or time, where the wrong choice could be their last.

Click on the widget above or here to be able to read the novel, ‘The Shadow Project’, in its entirety online (hurry, since it’s not indicated when this offer expires).

It’s not really a free e-book in the sense that you can download and read later at your leisure, but hey, beggars can’t be choosers, right?

The site uses “Browse Inside” technology and looks like pages of pdf actually. Very easy to use and the pages are set at 100% with clear font, so it’s no biggie 🙂 And if you like it, buy a copy!

Click here to download – note that the ebook is in Adobe digital format.

Book Description:

Not all dreams are sweet.

For seventeen-year-old Janie, getting sucked into other people’s dreams is getting old. Especially the falling dreams, the naked-but-nobody-notices dreams, and the sex-crazed dreams. Janie’s seen enough fantasy booty to last her a lifetime.

She can’t tell anybody about what she does — they’d never believe her, or worse, they’d think she’s a freak. So Janie lives on the fringe, cursed with an ability she doesn’t want and can’t control.

Then she falls into a gruesome nightmare, one that chills her to the bone. For the first time, Janie is more than a witness to someone else’s twisted psyche. She is a participant….

Currently Listening to… ‘Long Road to Forgiveness’ by Brett Dennen ft. Jason Mraz

Okay, I’ve packed up all the Christmassy tunes – it was fun while it lasted 🙂 Time to start listening to non-Christmas songs again… And this is one of my new favorites! ‘Long Road to Forgiveness‘ by Brett Dennen featuring Jason Mraz. It’s such a lovely song with a great message, have a listen… I consider this song a ‘grower’ – you kinda need to listen to it a couple of times before you start liking it. Then, you’re hooked 😉

Long Road to Forgiveness‘ is one of the tracks from Brett Dennen’s 7-song Live Session (iTunes Exclusive) EP. I only checked it out in the first place because I saw one of the songs was a duet with Jason Mraz, but I also really liked the other songs on the EP, especially the Brazillian-infused tracks ‘Blessed‘ and ‘San Francisco‘ which are collaborations with Brazillian ex-pats Forro in the Dark. Very very cool beats – really love the Brazillian swagger that Forro in the Dark added to the songs. If you like Vampire Weekend, check out these two since they have the same fun vibe.

You can listen to the entire EP streaming on this page, and if you like, check it out on iTunes ($6.93 for the EP)! For more info on Brett Dennen, his official website is just a click away.
