FREE Songs from the Amazon MP3 Music Store
So, the Amazon MP3 Music Store has a bunch of free songs available this January. Just pick and choose what appeals to you – it’s free after all – just download then delete if the free songs are not to your taste! Can’t complain too much since they are FREE.
The track ‘Where I Want To Be‘ by The Dangerous Summer is available for FREE download.
Just click here for the free track. It’s a pretty okay rock song. (Actually this was the only song I donwloaded from all the Amazon freebies – the rest kinda sucked for me).

Vampire Weekend Performs ‘Cousins’ on David Letterman

Vampire Weekend, one of my favorite bands, is releasing their sophomore album ‘Contra‘ on January 12! I was a huuuuge fan of their self-titled debut CD ‘Vampire Weekend‘. Thinking about it now, what really sucked me in was those super clever guitar riffs infused with a West African-beat. So, I’m really excited about this release!
I tuned in to David Letterman just to watch them perform their new single ‘Cousins’. The trademark guitar riff is there, as is Ezra Koenig’s falsetto yelps – but I don’t know – something was missing for me? Hopefully, I’ll like the other songs on the album better.
If you’re like me, and want to have a listen before plunking your $$$ down, the entire album ‘Contra’ is streaming on NPR Music and on the band’s Official MySpace page. I haven’t had a chance to listen yet, but I’ll be sure to set aside the time to do that!
