So, as I posted earlier, Amazon will be offering a FREE paid app each day from their Amazon’s Appstore for Android. And for today, it’s “SwiftKey Keyboard” by TouchType Ltd. for FREE today only!

Product Description

SwiftKey Keyboard makes typing on your Android device smart, fast, and personal.

Using artificial intelligence breakthroughs, the SwiftKey keyboard accurately predicts your most likely next word based on what you’ve already written. It can also scan your sent messages, and learn as you use it to make predictions even more accurately over time. The more you get to know your SwiftKey keyboard, the more it will get to know you.

So head on to the Amazon Appstore now and start browsing! Here’s a helpful link where you can browse through all the FREE android apps right now (after you’ve downloaded SwiftKey Keyboard of course!)

P.S. Take note of these download restrictions for now:

• AT&T is working on enabling purchases from the Amazon Appstore in the near future (Learn more)

New Game App for the Kindle – Checkers

March 26, 2011 Leave a comment

Here’s another new game app for the Kindle! Love Checkers in real life, so a digital version for the Kindle should be fun 🙂

Checkers (A Classic Game for Kindle)‘ by A Gamz (they were the ones who produced the fun game Maze A Thon) is available on the Amazon Kindle site for $0.99! Just click here to download!

Game Description

The classic board game of checkers is now available on Kindle.

Choose whether you wish to play against Kindle with up to ten levels of difficulty, or against a friend with Pass ‘n’ Play mode. You can customize the game with a variety of gameplay options including “Forced Jump” mode, which requires you to jump if you can, and a “Relaxed” mode which does not force you to make a jump. In addition, “Tournament” mode offers a different challenge by randomizing the first three starting moves, leaving you with a different game every time.

Stuck? You can ask for a hint on your next best move or look for pieces with letters to see your options for legal plays. And if all else fails, just undo your last move (or moves) – including all the way back to the beginning of the game if you wish.

Enjoy the classic board game of Checkers on the go!

Be sure to check out Amazon’s Popular Kindle Games & Active Content page for a review of all the games available! And don’t forget the $0.99 Kindle game sale until March 27!
