Read FREE Children’s Books Online! via WeGiveBooks.Org

This is very cool and FREE! The WeGiveBooks.Org site (a literacy program started by the Penguin Group and the Pearson Foundation) is offering around 146 FREE children’s books – the only catch is that you can only read them online.

We Give Books is a new digital initiative that enables anyone with access to the Internet to put books in the hands of children who don’t have them, simply by reading online.

I just checked out Ludwig Bemelmans’s Madeline picture book, and it’s very nicely scanned and looks like a real book with page-turning animation and everything 🙂 Check it out with a kid today!
