Death in the 'Glades--A Murder Mystery by J.M. Garlock

Describe your book Death in the ‘Glades–A Murder Mystery in ten words or less

Death in the ‘Glades is noir crime set in Everglades with a female lead.

Where or how did you come up with the idea for your story?

Everglades are the perfect place to dispose a body in because alligators will eat it.

No one will ever find it.

Which of your characters (in this book) is closest to your heart and why?

My favorite character is Freddie Gillespie, the lead bad guy because he thinks he’s smarter than everyone else.

Ultimately he finds himself in circumstances he can’t control, gets in over his head which costs him his life.

If you weren’t a full-time author, what other career would you be in and why?

If I wasn’t a full-time author I’d probably be a photographer documenting the human condition.

Tell us about an upcoming book or project you’re excited about

I’m excited about Death in the ‘Glades because it is a series and gives me the opportunity to explore the darker sides of the human condition.

I put people in conflict and let them work it our for themselves.
