popout: Trailer for Kill Your Darlings

Oh, wow, yesss, I want to see this movie! It’s Kill Your Darlings starring Daniel Radcliffe (as Allen Ginsberg), Ben Foster (as William Burroughs), Dane DeHaan (as Lucien Carr), Michael C. Hall (as David Kammerer), Liz Olsen, Jack Huston (as Jack Kerouac) and more!

About the movie:

David Kammerer’s murder by Lucien Carr in 1944 draws together the great poets of the beat generation: Allen Ginsberg, Jack Kerouac and William Burroughs.

(Video) Opening Scene of ‘The Woman in Black’

Okay, that’s a real creepy opening scene… I’ve been wondering if I should watch the movie ‘The Woman in Black‘ now (it opened today) or wait until I’ve read the book it’s based on (The Woman in Black: A Ghost Story (Vintage) by Susan Hill).

Leaning towards watching now! (with a friend or two in tow of course… definitely won’t want to be sitting beside an empty seat!) Would be interesting to see Daniel Radcliffe as someone other than Potter too!

The Legacy of Hope – Narrated by Daniel Radcliffe

October 30, 2009 Leave a comment

About the video:

27th January 2010 is the 65th anniversary of the liberation of the largest Nazi death camp Auschwitz-Birkenau. It is also the tenth anniversary of the commemoration of Holocaust Memorial Day (HMD) in the UK. The theme for HMD 2010 and the title of this short film is ‘The Legacy of Hope‘.

The film focuses on survivors’ stories and is narrated by actor Daniel Radcliffe, a prominent supporter of HMD. Each of the Holocaust survivors featured – Ben Helfgott, Iby Knill and Lily Ebert – tell us about their experiences and share with us their Legacy of Hope

It’s a very powerful video – we shouldn’t ever forget what happened. Especially since the world has seen genocide happen again and again. One day, as said in the video, hopefully we will have a future that is free from the dangers of exclusion and persecution. It’s good that Daniel Radcliffe is lending his celebrity for the HMD.
