FREE iTunes Download – 10 Things I Hate About You, Season 1

March 24, 2010 Leave a comment

iTunes is offering a FREE download of the entire first season of the ABC TV series ’10 Things I Hate About You’ for this week. I’ve never watched it, so can’t say anything about it. Head on to iTunes for the free download.

Here’s the show’s description if you want to check it out.

Sisters Bianca (Meaghan Jette Martin) and Kat (Lindsey Shaw) are two very different people. At their new high school, it’s clear that one sister wants to stand out and the other just wants to fit in.

Kat is a strong-willed feminist looking to save the world and get out of school as fast as she can. But when she meets the intense Patrick Verona (Ethan Peck), sparks begin to fly.

Bianca is a social butterfly whose main goal in life is to be popular, but when the head cheerleader makes her the mascot, she realizes she has a long way to go.

As they start a bumpy year at Padua High, will Kat and Bianca be able to navigate the challenges of the popular crowd, guys and their over-protective dad (Larry Miller)?

Another Useful FREE E-Book for the Aspiring Author

February 25, 2010 Leave a comment

I found another FREE e-book that could be useful to the aspiring author (to add to the books I posted about before).

For a limited time, you can download this ebook ‘The Storyteller’s Art: How Not to Bore Your Reader to Sleep, Tears, or Homicide’ by Francis Porretto. That title’s a mouthful, but I think it’d be interesting to check out the author’s suggestions, and it’s free anyway.

Ebook Description:

Do you want to tell memorable, vivid, life-altering stories? With plots that embed real knowledge about the natures and ways of men? Do you want to create characters that will haunt your readers’ dreams? Do you want to learn the discipline to unite all the above, without overdressing your plots or distoring your characters to make them serve a theme for which they’re ill-equipped? Start here!

If you’re interested, just check it out on Smashwords!
