Adam Lambert burns it up …
Okay, this interpretation of Ring of Fire by American Idol contestant Adam Lambert is totally a million light-years out of the galaxy as far as the country genre is (and maybe Johnny Cash is rolling over in his grave) … and yes, it sounds like Adam kinda ripped it off Dilana’s version from Rock Star (but he sings it a thousand times better).
But Adam’s performance is still totally freakin’ trippin’ AWESOMENESS (and I don’t care if that isn’t a real word). I just wish that he brought out the glitter and the belly dancer outfit to complete this performance. And there should’ve been half-naked dancers undulating suggestively behind him.
VOTE for Adam tonight! He at least brings the INTERESTING into idol. ha ha
What can I say – Adam Lambert makes me wish I were male and gay 😉
ETA: Here’s Adam being fierce pre-idol! Now, those back-up dancers were needed tonight!
One Last Goodbye to Jorge Nuñez (American Idol)
Oh, well, there goes my great hope of hearing Spanish sung on American Idol.
And yes, Regis, why didn’t you ask him to sing “My Way” in Spanish? Anyway, here’s Jorge Nuñez singing on the Regis and Kelly Show. I thought his vibratto was a bit too pronounced, but still, great job!
Now I hope Jorge goes and finishes his last semester in College, and ends up a great singing lawyer.

Kelly Clarkson rocked it out on Saturday Night Live
What can I say? I’m a big fan 🙂 I hope she overtops the HDD predictions!
My Life Would Suck Without You
Brawl Street: Kramer vs Stewart
Okay, the nicest thing I can say is that at least Jim Kramer was ballsy enough to face Jon Stewart. (Rick Santelli is unlikely to EVER set foot on the Daily Show now.) Thankfully, Jon shed the comedian for one night and was in fine form last night at the Daily Show in the guise of a scary hard ass investigative reporter. I’d feel sorry for Kramer, except I don’t.
Kramer basically waved the white flag in the show, and hopefully, he will go back to CNBC and start kicking some ass & CNBC can start doing their job so that Jon can go back to doing his job. The message had to come from a comedian – CNBC has to start acting like a real financing journalism / education channel instead of an entertainment channel.
ETA: I hope CNBC doesn’t make Kramer the scapegoat. It’s just unfortunate that all the attention got focused on Kramer (mostly brought on by himself when he started crying foul), but everyone in CNBC should be in the same boat.

Wow, Sesame Street is celebrating its 40th!
I’m waxing nostalgic with Sesame Street celebrating its 40th anniversary. It was my most favorite show EVER when I was a child and no one ever replaced Big Bird in my heart 🙂
Here’s a funny clip of Ricky Gervais and Elmo on the set. I can’t believe that “NECROPHILIA” was even uttered!
Kelly Clarkson Performs “My Life Would Suck Without You” in American Idol
The results night at American Idol was not a total loss. The Original American Idol came back and rocked it out with her new anthem “My Life Would Suck Without You.”
Seriously, I should hate this song by now (from repeated listens), but I dont! 😉

Jorge Nuñez is Eliminated from American Idol
Vodpod videos no longer available.
So we have our first two eliminees from American Idol. At least that twist wasn’t as bad as I imagined. But the producers should do their math – if the judges only have veto power until top 5, then they couldn’t have saved those AI contestants they quoted, ie. Daughtry. A quick search in Wikipedia told me that he got eliminated top 4 anyway…
American Idol or Vintage Michael Jackson?
It was American Idol presents “Michael Jackson” tonight.
Darn it – I think Jorge Nuñez is a goner. He wasn’t as bad as the judges said, just a bit boring – come on Puerto Rico, vote!!! ha ha (Come on, Hawaii saved their own back then long past the contestant’s expiration date …)
Everyone knows that Anoop is not going anywhere, so I’m sad about Jorge. Why oh why didn’t you cover Marc Anthony’s cover of “She’s Out of My Life” ?
And to all Megan’s haters – at least she keeps me laughing. Only she would have chosen that song!
But what’s up about that surprise change to the rules concerning the judges? I betcha there’ll be a bottom two sing-off tomorrow, and the judges get to choose who leaves. In which case, it truly is bye-bye Jorge. Thanks for representing Puerto Rico better than Tatiana did.
