Kris Allen on ‘When I Was 17’

May 30, 2010 Leave a comment

Kris Allen was one of the guests on the MTV Show ‘When I Was 17’ for Episode 5, together with Kourtney Kardashian and Travie McCoy (Who???). I haven’t actually watched it yet (I prefer Kris singing to talking, so I’ll prob watch this when there’s a drought of media or something, but not now), but the Kristards have been squeeing and cooing, so I guess he was cute on the show.

A fan ripped Kris’ parts and uploaded it to YouTube, so enjoy it as embedded below (for as long as MTV allows it to stay up that is)! MTV also posted an extra vid which didn’t make it to air of Kris talking about getting caught skinny-dipping… MTV also posts full episodes after a few days from airing, so if the YouTubes get pulled, you can still watch it onsite HERE.

P!nk Sings ‘Whataya Want From Me’ (Rhein Energie Stadion at Köln, Germany 05/29/10)

May 30, 2010 Leave a comment

Have you ever wondered what Adam Lambert’s international hit single ‘Whataya Want from Me‘ would sound if sung by P!nk (who wrote it)? Well, wait no more, cause…. {drumroll} P!nk actually sang ‘Whataya Want from Me’ at her concert at Rhein Energie Stadion at Köln, Germany 05/29/10! Thanks so much to funhouse0000 (if you want to view the other P!nk vids from the concert, check her channel out!) & Lopy147, oOstatusquoOo, Freakalicious85 for sharing!

She introduced it as she “wrote this silly song and found a guy who can sing it way better than me, so it became his” then sang WWFM! Adam must’ve heard about it since he sent out this tweet : “@Pink thanks for saying kind things about me! You’re an inspiration! Such a rockstar and such a classy, sexy rebel!”

*If you like ‘Whataya Want From Me’ and still don’t have your own copy, head on to iTunes!*

Liza Minnelli’s Version of Beyonce’s Single Ladies (from Sex in the City 2)

May 29, 2010 1 comment

When Liza Minnelli’s version of Beyonce’s Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It) first leaked, I couldn’t decide whether the cabaret version of it was a hot mess or inspired… but I knew that I looked forward to Liza Minnelli dancing to it.

Well, thanks to some people who decided to live dangerously and record the scene where Liza Minnelli sings & dances to Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It) while watching in the theatre, AND uploaded it to YouTube – here’s the pivotal scene! I must say I like it much better in this context – very tongue-in-cheek and lots of fun! Don’t know how long it will stay up though… I haven’t seen the movie yet, and yes, I know the reviews are horrendous, but I wanna see who/what they’re wearing!!!

P.S. If you like Liza’s version of Single Ladies, check it out on iTunes or Amazon!

Kris Allen Live at Point Pleasant Beach (NJ)

May 29, 2010 4 comments

So Kris Allen is no longer the American Idol – bet he’s super relieved! Now he can fly under the radar like he’s always wanted to. Pretty hard to do if you’re playing in concerts day in and out this summer.

He hit up Jenkinson Pavillion at Point Pleasant Beach in New Jersey first off, for 95.5 WPLJ. Tit for tat I guess. Set List was : LLLWD, Man in the Mirror, The Truth, Heartless/GP, Is It Over, Alright With Me, Come Together. Check out the photos on the PLJ website!

You can catch Live Like We’re Dying, Heartless and an interview with Kris on this Morning News blog, and catch the other performances on the MixPod playlist I embedded. Thanks to the fans who shared! (Jesha84, xnycheartx22)

Pimping a FREE iPhone/ iTouch/ iPad Application – Dropbox

May 27, 2010 Leave a comment

So, what’s Dropbox? It’s a FREE application that acts like an online locker for storing your files. All the syncing is done automatically, basically, you just drag and drop the files from your computer to Dropbox, and you can access your Dropbox account from other computers, and yes, from your iPhone/iPod Touch or iPad. I love it!

You get 2 GB of free storage upfront when you sign up for the service HERE (you can get more FREE storage by referring your friends); you just need to install the program on your computer, and get the application for iPhone/iTouch or iPad and voila – it’s all automatic! So, why don’t you sign up right now!

I find it really useful for my iPod Touch since the Dropbox app automatically recognizes the following file formats:

  • Images (jpg, tiff, gif)
  • Music (mp3, aiff, m4a, wav)
  • Movies (mov, mp4, m4v)
  • Microsoft Word documents (doc, docx)
  • Microsoft Powerpoint presentations (ppt, pptx)
  • Microsoft Excel spreadsheets (xls, xlsx)
  • Adobe PDF (pdf)
  • Keynote presentations (key)
  • Pages documents (pages)
  • Numbers spreadsheets (numbers)
  • Web pages (htm, html)
  • Text and rich-text files (txt, rtf)

I particularly like how it recognizes Microsoft office files so readily. No need for me to get more expensive apps, since this one is FREE!
