Check out Amazon’s Kindle Cloud Reader!

Interesting! It’s pretty obvious that this is Amazon’s answer to Apple stiffing them (and the other bookstores) out by refusing to allow ebook buying via the apps.

Check out the Kindle Cloud Reader (the page is LIVE!) on your Chrome or Safari browsers (both on iMac & iPad) right now, and follow the easy instructions to install the cloud reader app! 🙂 The reader works offline too – all you need to do is right-click on a book cover (in your cloud library) then select “Download & Pin Book”. All your most recently read books are also stored in the ‘downloaded section’ of the library. Very cool!

Ubfortunately doesn’t seem to work on the iPhone. Hopefully they’ll fix that.

Yeah, it only works for Safari (iPad / iMac/ PC) for now. It does say “Support for additional browsers coming soon. ” so I’m sure they’re working it!
